ALPHA ARBUTIN
Used medicinally since the 2nd century, bearberry is actually harvested from the leaves of the evergreen uva ursi plant (the nickname comes from bears eating the fruit). The arbutin in the extract inhibits skin from making melanin, the skin pigment that can lead to dark patches or age spots (hyperpigmentation).
